Time for a Holiday

With the booming popularity (and i saw 'booming' without exaggeration) of low cost carriers, everyone is travelling again. And travelling a lot. Maybe things haven't recovered to that level of the pre-9/11 days yet, but the recovering economy is seeing happy days for the tourism industry again.

That said, now's a good as any other to go on a holiday, especially if you are stuck in a 60 hour work week every week working your butt off for the man. 9 Goldfish

There is a Chinese custom of having 9 goldfish in a tank. The tank is usually put in your home or place of business. You usually need 8 regular goldfish and one black one. I've no idea how this arrangement came about. But a lot of people do it.

Instead of having the hassle of maintaining a big fishtank, some people keep a picture of the nine goldfish, i suppose it represents the same thing. Drawing these pics take a lot of skill - calligraphy is definitely something that is well revered in ancient times.

My dentist has one of these pictures in his office. It was given to him as a gift when he first opened his business.
